Farever Companion is a non-commercial, fan-made community project. We collect as little data as possible and never sell it or use it for advertising.
What we store
- Account: your chosen username and a one-way hashed password (we never store the plaintext). No email or real name is required.
- Optional profile data: a profile image you upload, a Steam ID, and the server regions you select — all optional and removable at any time.
- Speedruns: the runs you submit (dungeon, time, video link, optional notes and linked co-runner codes).
- A single session cookie to keep you signed in. See the Cookie Policy.
- Guest accounts are temporary and are automatically deleted about 24 hours after creation unless you claim them with a password.
Legal basis (GDPR)
We process this data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in operating a community leaderboard (Art. 6(1)(f)). You provide everything voluntarily.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Most of it you can change yourself on your profile; for full account deletion or any request contact us at [contact email]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Sharing & hosting
We do not share your data with third parties. Video links you submit point to external platforms (e.g. YouTube, Twitch) whose own policies apply when you visit them. Data is stored on our hosting provider [hosting provider / location].
Retention
Account and run data is kept until you delete it or your account. Unclaimed guest accounts are purged after ~24 hours.
